Meet the Curiosity Cattique Cat Test Team:
Updated: Sep 12
Behind every curious idea at Curiosity Cattique is a very important team of feline experts - our cat family.
Our six cats are at the heart of everything we do. They're the inspiration behind the brand, the reason we love what we do, and naturally, the first to investigate anything new that enters the house. From inspecting every box that arrives to testing packaging, investigating new products - and occasionally deciding that something belongs to them - they've become an important part of the Curiosity Cattique family.
Six very different personalities and together, they are the reason no review in this house is based on one feline opinion. Each cat has a different personality, body type, play style, and level of patience. That makes them a surprisingly useful little team. And while they may not agree on everything, there's one thing they all have in common - they're at the heart of Curiosity Cattique.
So, before you explore our curious creations, we thought it was only right that you meet the real characters behind the brand ...
Head of Standards and Sophistication
Lola
Meet Lola, the only girl on the Cat Test Team - and quite possibly the one who keeps everyone in line.
Senior in years and superior in sophistication, Lola is the undisputed queen of the house and absolutely does not tolerate any nonsense from the boys. They know better than to mess with Lola!
Despite her refined ways, Lola still has a playful side, just don't expect her to share her fun with those pesky boys.
Independent, elegant and full of personality, Lola knows exactly what she wants, and she's not afraid to let everyone know it.
Chief Suspicion Officer
Bear
Bear trusts nobody. Every noise must be investigated, every movement viewed with suspicion, and sometimes even his own shadow is considered highly questionable!
He has his very own custom-built cat hotel, which is his favourite safe haven. He prefers to stay tucked away in there unless there is a very good reason to venture out.
But there's a playful side to Bear that only appears when nobody is watching. Give him his favourite red feather stick, make sure the room is empty, and suddenly our cautious boy becomes a playful little kitten again.
He may be nervous, cautious and wonderfully quirky, but Bear has his own special place in the Cat Test Team - and we wouldn't change a thing about him.
Chief Chill Officer
Ferry
Meet Ferry, our enormous boy with a heart to match.
Despite his impressive size, Ferry is one of the gentlest members of the cat test team. He's completely laid back and has mastered the art of taking life at his own pace.
His favourite activities? Sprawling out wherever he can find a comfortable spot, enjoying a good stretch and spending plenty of time on his personal grooming routine. He takes relaxation very seriously.
Ferry is the definition of chilled - calm, gentle and content to simply go with the flow.
Chief Chill Officer is definitely the perfect title for him.
Chief Packaging Supervisor
Blue
Blue is the lovable dope of the Cat Test Team. If something is sitting on a shelf, counter or table, chances are Blue will knock it off. If there's a bag or box nearby, he'll be straight inside it.
He also has an impressive talent for chewing absolutely anything and everything. Straws, pens, lids - if it can fit in his mouth, Blue believes it deserves a few teeth marks!
But beneath all that mischief is the sweetest, most loving boy. Blue simply wants attention, cuddles and to be wherever his humans are.
He may cause a lot of chaos during the packaging process, but he makes up for it with endless love.
Chief Muscle and Mischief Officer
Fury
Meet Fury, our gorgeous, long and sleek tuxedo boy - and quite possibly the cheekiest member of the Cat Test Team.
Fury was rescued after being abandoned, and it didn't take him long to find his place in our family. He's incredibly handsome, muscly and full of personality, definitely the alpha male. Between you and me, he may just be my cheeky favourite. Shhh ... don't tell the others.
Fury is an incredibly affectionate boy. His favourite place in the world is right under your chin, rubbing his head against yours and soaking up as much love and attention as possible. He really is one of the most loving cats you could meet. That is, until he decides enough is enough and delivers a completely unexpected little bite.
So while he may be gorgeous, affectionate and impossible not to adore, Fury definitely comes with a warning label!
Handle with love ... but never forget whose in charge.
Head of Snack and Treat Testing
Bean
Meet Bean, the newest and youngest member of the Cat Test Team.
Bean is bold, fearless and completely convinced that the world - and everything it it - belongs to him. Nothing seems to scare him, and if something interesting is happening, you can guarantee Bean will be right in the middle of it.
He's also got a rather impressive appetite. Your dinner is his dinner, apparently, and he has absolutely no problem swiping food straight from your bowl if you're not paying attention. Whatever you do, don't try to take his treats. Bean may be the smallest member of the team, but the growls that come out of him when someone gets too close to his snacks are on another level.
When he's not eating, he's playing. Bean will turn anything in to a toy, but his absolute favourite is a paper straw. We are pretty sure there's around 500 of them currently living under the sofa.
He may be small but Bean has already made a very big impression on the Cat Test Team. He's ridiculously cute, endlessly entertaining and full of fearless kitten energy.
Zero fear, endless mischief. One very cute little Bean.
And so begins our Curiosity Cattique story - inspired by six very different cats, a home full of love and a little bit of chaos, and a passion for creating something truly special for cats and the people who adore them.
